Named after Lord Dalhousie, the British Governor-General who established this town as a summer retreat in 1854, Dalhousie is a pristine hill station built on five hills. It is characterized by its tranquil atmosphere, Scottish and Victorian architecture, and lush green panoramas. Unlike more commercialized hill stations, Dalhousie offers a peaceful escape with leisurely walks through forested trails, stunning vistas of the snow-capped Pir Panjal mountains, and easy access to the magical meadows of Khajjiar.
